YAMS Community Asset Transfer Survey

You Are My Sunshine (YAMS) are applying for the Community Asset Transfer of Newarthill Library to YAMS.
As part of our application, we must consult local people to gather their views on the project. If you could take a couple of minutes to fill out the short survey about our project, we would be grateful. Your support means a lot to us.
When you submit this form, it will not automatically collect your details like name, email address unless you decide to provide it yourself.
What is a ‘Community Asset Transfer’ (CAT)?
A Community Asset Transfer lets local people take ownership of land or property that would otherwise be sold off for private development. Instead of losing this resource forever, we can turn it into a beautiful, usable, long‑term community space for YAMS - designed to support the people who live here.We want local residents help to decide how best to protect this space, for the usage of YAMS services, and what matters most to you so please follow the link below and complete our survey.
YAMS was set up in 2018 following the death of a local woman, Gemma Jones, due to mental health issues. Her family wanted to do something to help others who were struggling with their mental health in remembrance of her. YAMS has engaged with thousands of people since then and hundreds have benefited from our counselling services. YAMS offers a full range of support from the Newarthill Library site.
Our VisionYAMS want to transform the Library at Newarthill into a welcoming, multiple use mental health facility. We hope to encourage connection, health and inclusion within the community to help improve mental health support.
